The first AGM for Mikono Association Inc was held in late July 2008. At this time it was decided to narrow down eligible applicants to residents of Kenya only. Possible methods of fundraising and advertising were also discussed. Minutes for the AGM can be accessed from the link on our homepage.

The first AGM of Mikono Association Inc will be held on July 26th, 2008. Members will be notified by mail and email within the next few days, regarding the details and agenda of the AGM.

We have been notified by DOCEP that our application for a Charitable Collections Licence has been approved. This means that we can now legally begin to collect donations. We will not approach members for payment of annual donations until the beginning of the new financial year.

Also, we are considering narrowing our pool of applicants down to residents of Kenya only. We encourage all members or other interested parties to contact us regarding their thoughts on this matter.

We have just received notice that our new ABN is 31 725 475 055. This has been changed as required by law, due to the incorporation of the association.

We have received notice that as of the 8th February, 2008, we are now an incorporated association. Our next step is to apply for the Charitable Collections Licence from the Department of Consumer and Employment Protection, so that we can start legally fundraising. We will let everyone know via the website and mailing list as soon as this has been done.

We have applied for incorporation to the Department of Consumer and Employment Protection today. We will keep everyone updated as to when this comes through - as soon as this occurs we can apply for Charitable Collections Licence and then commence collecting donations.
